| Angela Kay Everhart was born on the 7th September 1969 in Akron, Ohio. Mother Ginnie, a homemaker, and father Bobby, an engineer, brought the firey redhead into the world. As a child, she was sometimes mistaken for a boy; today, she wouldn't pass for anything but a stunner. Angie attended Harvey S. Firestone High School, part of the class of 1987, and was the high school mascot, the Firestone Chicken. Was once told by Eileen Ford that red-heads dont sell.As a teenager in Akron, Everhart would play-act hip-gyrations for the camera. Her mom took one of those pictures to a local modeling agency. She started modeling when she was 16. In 1987, Everhart traveled to Africa for her first major print ad, and by the end of 1988, she had graced the covers of several magazines, including Elle and Glamour (where she was the first-ever redheaded cover). That same year, she became the "rear-end" girl for Levi's--and her career went into high gear. When Angie was 17 she left for Milan, Italy and Paris, France to model. Her grandmother, on news of Angie's modeling career had but one request: that Angie would never model nude. Angie held tight on that promise for a long time, until Another 9 1/2 Weeks, where she acted in the nude. Apparently, she figured that the one transgression had ruined the pact anyway, so she went ahead and posed for Playboy as well. But tragedy struck in an unexpected fall off her horse that left her wheelchair-bound with a broken back. It was four months before she walked again. And she still horseback rides regularly. On December 1, 1996, Ms. Everhart married Ashley Hamilton in the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church. The marriage didn't work; much like her other engagements to Sly Stallone and millionaire businessman Jimmy Traboulis. |
