| Azumi Kawashima (Kawashima Azumi, born August 8 1979 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese idol and one of the most well-known stars of Japanese AV pornography. Starring in her first adult video (AV) at the age of seventeen, Kawashima rapidly rose in under two years to become the highest paid star of AV of the late 1990s. During her career, Kawashima posed in hundreds of nudes and non-nudes for various Japanese adult magazines such as URECCO and Beppin School. Popular in Japan, she also became a favourite both in Japan and in the West for her innocent demeanour and large breasts.
