Cory Monteith (b. May 11, 1982 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a Canadian actor of film and television. Growing up in western Canada on Vancouver Island BC, Monteith held down a plethora of odd jobs while in his teens. Before discovering acting, he worked as a Wal-Mart greeter, a school bus driver, a roofer and a cab driver. It was while working as a cab driver, that a fare suggested that acting might be a good fit for him and he should take some lessons. Monteith signed up for acting classes on a whim and discover.
