| Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina 1987. Her birthday is the seventh of September. She and her two brothers, Ira and Dana, grew up around the theater circles, as Evan's Dad ran a theater company in Raleigh. Sometimes the children performed in the productions. Evan Rachel's father is Founder and Executive Director of "Theatre In The Park" in Raleigh. He is an award-winning actor, director and playwright. Evan's mother, Sara, currently spends most of her time on location with Evan. (Sara remarried last year - Phil Elins, an Assistant Director of Once & Again. This is her third marriage and Phil's first.) Evan Rachel's first career disappointment came at the age of five: she lost the role of Claudia in "Interview With The Vampire" (1994) to Kirsten Dunst. It proved to be only a minor setback, and she has gone off to be seen in the series "American Gothic" and "Touched By An Angel" among others. Her film credits include "Practical Magic" with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, "Digging To China" with Kevin Bacon, "Simone" with Al Pacino, "The Missing" with Tommy Lee Jones, and "Thirteen" with Holly Hunter. She is currently filming in London with Kevin Costner. Evan Rachel played Chloe in four third season and in two fourth season episodes of NBC's Profiler. No sooner did the producer went under a different direction and gave pink slip to a few actor including Evan. So it was time for her to move on other series. She was later seen on ABC hit show "Once And Again" with Emmy Award winner Sela Ward and Billy Campbell. In the series Evan Rachel portrays Jessie Sammler, Rick's (Billy Campbell) daughter. She now lives now in Los Angeles. When she is not studying acting, she enjoys swimming, rollerblading and horseback riding. Evan Rachel is trained in singing and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. |
