| On January 21, 1990, something was happening in Monrovia, California. Something that would shake the foundations of the entertainment industry. On that day, a star was born...a star named Jacob Smith. A name that is destined and on it's way to becoming the biggest star in the entertainment industry. It seems from the beginning, Jacob Smith was born to entertain. Anyone who sees him in anything knows that! With the face of a star, and an explosion of talent, it's no surprize that Jacob hit the entertainment industry with an explosive force of talent that continues to grow and expand with each performance he does. At the ripe young age of four, he won his first role in an American Standard commercial by doing an imitation of Jim Carrey and was hired on the spot. As far as imitation goes, Mr. Carrey, or any other actor might take a lesson. Jacob is his own person, carving out his own charactor and a distinct style of acting that is unlike any other. His exploding talent is God-given, and in this case, God has given generously and abundantly! After doing several commercials, Jacob got cast as the youngest Salinger, Owen, on the hit television show Party of Five. He then was cast in his first feature film, Joe Dante and Steven Spielburg's Small Soldiers. He has made numerous guest appearances on television shows,, and starred in several television movies including Nowhere to Go, Evolution's Child, and the Disney movie Phantom of the Megaplex in 2000. Among his television credits are Once and Again, Walker, Texas Ranger, Becker, General Hospital, Meego, and That's Life to name a few. Other feature films to his credit, Dragonfly (with Kevin Costner and Kathy Bates, actors he said was so cool meeting and working with), and Hansel and Gretel, only continue the fuse of exploding talent that is Jacob Smith. When not on a set, Jacob loves swimming, skateboarding, tumbling, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He has a brother, Nathanael, and a sister, Natasha, and lives with his parents in Los Angeles. With exploding talent like Jacobs, you'll be seeing ALOT more of him in years to come, and for the fans who know talent, that is DEFINATLY an AWESOME thing!!! |
