| Though perhaps best known for her marriage to Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall is also a successful model and actress. "One of the great things about getting into the theater is now they call me 'actress Jerry Hall' rather than 'the ex-Mrs. Mick Jagger,'" she told the Contra Costa Times. "I don't want to be the ex anything." Hall, one of five daughters, was born in 1956 in Gonzalez, Texas. In 1958, her family moved to Mesquite, Texas, where she was raised. She left home at the age of 16 to pursue a modeling career in Paris and rose quickly in the modeling world, most notably as the face of Revlon and of Yves Saint Laurent Opium perfume. In the 1990s, she began to pursue her acting career, appearing in film such as Freejack, Princess Caraboo, and Batman, before focusing on theater. She has appeared on the stage in London in Picasso's Women and Bus Stop, among others. Most recently, Hall appeared as Mrs. Robinson in the stage version of The Graduate. |
