| This eldest daughter of the late director Boris Sagal began her career as a backup singer to performers as varied as Olivia Newton-John, Bob Dylan and Bette Midler (as one of the Harlettes). A buxom redhead, Katey Sagal made her TV-movie acting debut under her father's guidance in "The Dream Makers" (NBC, 1975) and then garnered notice as the tough-talking, chain-smoking newspaper colleague of mild- mannered Mary Tyler Moore in the short-lived sitcom "Mary" (CBS, 1985). She achieved icon status on the small screen as the flamboyant, big-haired, tackily-dressed and sex-starved Peg Bundy in Fox's long-running hit comedy "Married... With Children" (1987-97). While at first typecast, Sagal began branching out, recording her first solo album ("Well" 1994) and proving her dramatic mettle alongside Pam Dawber in the 1995 NBC movie "Trail of Tears", in which the pair portrayed women whose children had been abducted by their respective ex-husbands. More recently, she returned to comedy starring as an ambitious assistant out to topple her boss (who happens to be an con man in drag) in the Disney TV-movie "Mr. Headmistress" (ABC, 1998). Sagal also lent her unique vocal talents to several roles, most prominently to the cyclops-like alien Leela, in Matt Groening's animated series "Futurama" (Fox, 1999- ). |

| Katey has to be one of the funniest and prettiest ladies in Hollywood. Whenever I see her on TV I forget all my worries and cares. She is so talented, graceful and with the most perfect diction! She is one of the greatest actresses for me. | |
