| Born July 17, 1978 and raised in Los Angeles, Katharine Towne is the daugher of daughter of famed screenwriter Robert Towne. Her mother is Julie Payne. Katharine, or Kate, likes to be called Skip, and says she's not much of a wild child. She'd rather stay home making beaded necklaces. She recently completed many new film projects including the dark comedy 'But I'm a Cheerleader;' 'Town and Country,' starring Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn, and the independent drama film 'Girl.' Most recently, Katharine was seen in the teen thriller 'The Incrowd', 'Evolution' and 'What Lies Beneath' She also appeared the comedy 'The Bachelor,', the dark comedy 'Go', and also in hit comedy 'She's All That'. She also has many new films on the way including a movie with Reese Witherspoon, "Sweet Home Alabama', 'Screem at the Sound of the Beep' and 'The Anarchist' Towne's television credits include guest-starring in the season 4 premiere of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' in the Season 4 Premiere as Many Fans Favorite Villian, Sunday. Quite recently Kate appeared with ex-husband, actor, Charlie Hunnam on his Fox hit show "Undeclared". She guest starred as one of Charlie's girlfriends, who breaks up with him. Kate was married to Charlie Humman from 1999-2001 and still remains friends with him and is currently enganged to actor Ethan Embry who costarred with her in the new Reese Witherspoon Movie "Sweet Home Alabama". |
