| Kristin Davis has proven herself as a talented and versatile actress ever since her breakthrough role as the devious Brooke Armstrong on Melrose Place. She stars in HBO's Sex and the City as Charlotte, an art dealer who struggles with her inhibitions as she confronts New York's singles scene. Davis recently starred in the CBS television movie, Take Me Home: The John Denver Story, co-starring Chad Lowe. Davis's additional television credits include the NBC thriller Atomic Train, co-starring Robe Lowe and Esai Morales; A Deadly Vision; Murder in Mind, and The Ultimate Lie. She has guest starred on television series such as Seinfeld, The Single Guy, E.R, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, The Larry Sanders Show, and the television film The Heidi Chronicles. Born in Boulder, Colorado, Davis moved to Columbia, South Carolina, when her father, a psychology professor, transferred to the university there. She later attended Rutgers University, and upon graduation moved to New York, where she began working in classical and contemporary theater, as well as commercials. Before her arrival on Melrose Place, Davis and a friend opened a yoga studio. She still enjoys yoga in her free time, as well as spinning and running. Davis resides in Los Angeles. |
