| Lili was born on February 20, 1967 in Glencoe, Illinois. She is one of six children who grew up in a big house in exclusive neighborhood, and her grandfather was one of the town's founders, but she does not describe her family as rich. Her father operated a hardware store. She graduated from New Trier High School, where Rock Hudson and Ann Margaret had gone to school. She attended Goodman Theatre School of DePaul University, Chicago. Lili is somewhat reclusive, and was diagnosed as Manic-Depressive in her teen years, although Lili does not agree with that diagnosis. Her first movie appearance on screen was a very brief part in She's Having a Baby in 1988, but her first featured role that same year was in the sleeper hit Mystic Pizza which also featured Julia Roberts. In 1989 she had a small part in Say Anything and then starred in Bright Angel. Later she appeared in Born on the Fourth of July, Dogfight, Household Saints, Short Cuts and Ready to Wear. Lili has also acted in Rudy, Arizona Dream, Things I Never Told You, Her most recent credits include The Addiction, Four Rooms, I Shot Andy Warhol, Girlstown, Cold Fever, Ransom and Kicked In The Head, Julie Johnson and appearing in the HBO series Six Feet Under. Lili was up for the lead in film production of Janis Joplin's life story, but unfortunately, the production was canceled. Lili was a member of Naked Angels before forming her own theater company, "Machine Full". She has acted in Czechoslovakia and directed their production of Halcyon Days at the Work House Theater. Her relationship with costar Michael Rapaport did not end well. Lili does not drink, no longer smokes, would like to have children some day, and considers herself a non-radical feminist. She rarely uses makeup. Lili is noted for her strong acting in unusual roles, and hopefully, will soon be up for an Oscar. |
