| Lonneke Engel (born June 14, 1981 in Eindhoven, Holland) is a Dutch model. Lonneke started her own career by contacting modeling agencies in her native Eindhoven, Holland. She has been featured in fashion advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Versace's Versus line, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Kenzo, and Guess, as well as cosmetic and fragrance campaign. She is now featured in the campaign for Ralph, the new fragrance from Ralph Lauren Frangrances that debuted in the U.S. in September 2000 and internationally in spring and summer 2001. Lonneke's editorial credits include spreads in Elle, Italian Vogue, Allure, and the United Kingdom's cutting-edge Force. Her work with fashion photography's luminaries Bruce Weber, Ellen Von Unwerth, Patrick Demarchelier, and Herb Rits has proven that her determination to become a serious model, beginning at age 11, is paying off. While Lonneke is quickly on her way to the top appearing in numerous prints and broadcast campaigns, she will continue to pursue her studies and to enjoy her favorite pastimes: horseback riding and playing the piano. |
