| Majandra Delfino (born February 20, 1981) in Caracas, Venezuela, is an actress who is probably best known for her role as Maria DeLuca in the cult TV series Roswell. Her elder sister, Marieh Delfino (born September 24, 1978) is also an actress. Her name is actually Maria Alejandra Delfino, but she was nicknamed "Majandra" by her elder sister, Marieh, who couldn't pronounce her real name, and the nickname stuck. Majandra used to date her Roswell costar, Brendan Fehr, who played Michael Guerin. It was an on-and-off partnership. Delfino was always more of a musician than an actress, and since the termination of Roswell, she has refocused herself on her music, releasing the critically acclaimed 2003 album "The Sicks" on her own label, Dripfeed, without radio or TV airplay. She is currently working on her second album, which is to included songs from the six track album she previously released, as well as newer works. She has received attention in France, through her duet with French chantuese RoBERT, titled 'Le Prince Bleu', in which she sings both in English and French. She starred in "Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirtienth", which was made before "Scary Movie" but didn't receive major cinematic release. Also Reeseville, Celeste in the City, the Tony Danza Show, and in R.S.VP, with Jason Mewes (of Dogma fame) and Glenn Quinn(of Angel. R.I.P) |
